You can read a little bit more about these changes over at the official website, and if you're eager to learn more about Shadowlands itself, make sure to check out some of the earlier previews.Similar to Draenor Pathfinder, there is an achievement series in Legion to earn flying. Personally, just finishing up the main storylines of each zone, plus the various War Campaign quests, should be more than enough to introduce new players to Battle for Azeroth content before letting them fly around it all. I can only hope this will extend to Battle for Azeroth content in the near future as well, because I can't imagine farming Mechagon and Nazajtar will be all that interesting once you outscale most of the gear rewards. In other words, the Draenor Pathfinder achievement will continue to reward the Soaring Skyterror mount, while the first part of the Broken Isles Pathfinder achievement will continue to increase your mount speed in the Broken Isles. So once the expansion arrives, all you'll need to do in order to fly through Draenor and the Broken Isles will be to learn a cheap skill from the flying trainer at level 30.Īs for the Pathfinder achievements that previously unlocked flying, they will continue to exist as each one offers some minor benefits or rewards. Thankfully, this won't be a problem for much longer as Blizzard is aiming to sort this nonsense out with World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Not only do you need to do a lot of grinding in completely outdated zones, but the whole process takes a considerable amount of time - far longer than it would take you to simply level through each expansion with multiple characters without flying at all. If you're a brand new World of Warcraft player, or even a veteran returning after a long hiatus, acquiring the ability to fly in Warlords of Draenor and Legion content is an incredibly tedious process. ![]() : World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion has been pinned for a Q4, 2020 release date. : Blizzard is now making it significantly easier to acquire Corrupted Gear. ![]()
